Installation
Instructions:
- Click on the
link above to download the Latin Template Package.
- Save the
file to a convenient location on your computer (e.g., Desktop
or My Documents).
- Double click
on the file you just downloaded (LatinTemplate.zip).

- Click "Extract
All Files." Click "Next," then "Next" again,
then "Finish."

- A new window
will open containing your extracted files.
- XP Users:
Double click on XP--InstallLatin.bat
- Vista Users:
Double click on VISTA--InstallLatin.bat
- A black screen
will flash quickly then disappear. This means the installer has
run itself. A Microsoft Word template will automatically be installed,
and some support files will be placed in a folder called "Template
Files" in your C:\ directory.
- To use the template,
open Microsoft Word and perform the following steps:
- Word 2003:
- Click
Tools Menu - Templates and Add-Ins.
- Click
the "Attach" button and select "Latin"
from the list that pops up.
- Word 2007:
- Hold
down Alt-T then let go. Notice that a message
about Office 2003 acces keys appears at the top of the window.
Once this message appears, hit the i key.
- Click
the "Attach" button and select "Latin"
from the list that pops up.
- I suggest that
you record a macro to perform the steps above so that you do not
need to execute them manually every time you want to enable the
Latin template. Learn what macros are and how to record them in
Word 2003 or Word
2007.
- If "Latin"
does not appear on the list, contact
Ms. Andresian.
- If you wish to
make the Latin template your "Normal" Microsoft Word template,
click the LATINtoNORMAL file that is appropriate for your version
of Windows.
